This pattern is designed to fit the 5" Lots to Love doll by Berenguer.

This pattern is designed to fit the 5" Lots to Love doll by Berenguer. I purchased my doll online at Annie's Attic.

Here are the materials you will need to crochet this set:

1/2 ounce of Red Heart Super Saver Petal Pink worsted weight yarn (or color of your choice)

Size H crochet hook

Yarn needle (for weaving ends in)

Scissors

Gauge: Two rounds of double crochet equals one inch.

Cap:

Round one: Chain four, join with a slip stitch in the first chain to form a ring, chain three, work eleven double crochets into the ring you just made, join with a slip stitch in the top of the beginning chain three (you now have a total of twelve double crochets in Round One, counting the beginning chain three as one double crochet).

Round Two: Chain three, work two double crochets in the next double crochet, * double crochet in the next double crochet, work two double crochets in the next double crochet, repeat instructions from * around, join as before (you now have a total of eighteen double crochets in Round Two, counting the beginning chain three as one double crochet).

Round Three: Chain three, work one double crochet in the next double crochet and in each double crochet around, join as before (you now have a total of eighteen double crochets in Round Three, counting the beginning chain three as one double crochet). Fasten off and weave ends in securely.

Cocoon:

Round One: Work the same as for Round One of cap (12 double crochets).

Round Two: Chain three, work one double crochet in the same double crochet as beginning chain three, work two double crochets in the next double crochet and in each double crochet around, join with a slip stitch in the top of the beginning chain three (you now have a total of twenty-four double crochets in Round Two, counting the beginning chain three as one double crochet).

Rounds Three-Seven: Chain three, work one double crochet in the next double crochet and in each double crochet around, join with a slip stitch in the top of the beginning chain three (you will have twenty-four double crochets in each round).

Round Eight: Chain four, * skip one double crochet, work one double crochet in the next double crochet, chain one, repeat instructions from * around, joining with a slip stitch in the third chain of the beginning chain four (you now have a total of twelve double crochets and twelve chain one spaces). Fasten off and weave ends in securely.

Drawstrings: Cut two 22 1/2" lengths of yarn. Hold them together. Using yarn needle, start at front center of cocoon and weave the lengths of yarn through the chain one spaces of Round Eight, ending back at front center.

Place doll in cocoon. Tie drawstrings in bow. Place cap on doll. Enjoy!
